Satoshi Tsumabuki |

|
Satoshi Tsumabuki was born on 13th December 1980 in Mitsuhashi (Yanagawa), Fukuoka, Japan. He briefly worked as a model, appearing in the popular Japanese teen magazine Street News before competing in NTV’s Star Audition, a national talent contest co-produced by talent agencies Amuse and Horipro, which attracted 3 million entrants. After winning the competition he signed with Horipro and made his debut acting appearance in the 1998 TV drama ‘Subarashii Hibi.’ In 1999, he formed the band Basking Lite with his brother. In 2001, his popularity and success was cemented by his lead role in the film Waterboys, for which he won the Newcomer of the Year Award at the 2002 Japan Academy Awards. Since then, Satoshi has appeared in a number of both blockbuster and critically acclaimed films.
