1901: Cricks & Sharp
Another company to become one of the major pre-War British film producers was Cricks & Martin, (initially Cricks & Sharp) which began life in 1901 when it was founded by G. H. Cricks & H. M. Sharp. The company would make many comedy and crime films and, long before the creation of MGM, would have as its trademark the head of a roaring lion. [ADD]
