Finland's first permanent cinema opened its doors to the public this year but, sadly, the public wasn't yet ready to walk through them in sufficient numbers to make the cinema a viable business proposition. The Kinematograf International, owned by exhibitor Gustaf Nordin and situated in Helsinki, closed its doors within weeks of opening. [ADD]
