Le Fascinateur was published by the Catholic publisher, La Bonne Press. Edited by G. Michel Coissac, its aim was to be a monthly educational guide to promote ‘religious learning by means of images.’ The company went on to rent film projectors of its own design and carefully chosen films for the purpose of ‘illuminated sermons’ in Catholic schools.
