1896: Poland's First Screening

Films were first shown in Poland in late 1896 at the Juliusz Slowacki Theatre in Poland.   Lumiere agent Eugen Dupont is also reported to have run a show in Cracow for a month, starting on the 14th November.   A programme of Edison films is believed to have been shown in Lodz in October of this year.
