APSA Announces New Academy

The APSA was launched in 2007 and held in Queensland in December, with the backing of UNESCO, the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF) and CNN International.

It was confirmed that all 65 nominees of the inaugural 2007 awards would be inducted into the planned academy, with a similar number from 2008 to be inducted later in the year.   All members would have a voting influence on the awards.
