Little Moscow Under Fire

Responding to the controversy over the awarding of the 33^rd Polish Film Festival’s main prize to Waldemar Krzystek’s 1960s melodrama Little Moscow over other films considered by many to be superior, jury member Slawomir Idziak said, ‘It is a classic story with a major emotional impact.   This will sound like a joke, but quite honestly, at the screening, my wife was using my jacket’s sleeve for a handkerchief."
